Terms and Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the services offered by MRR HOLIDAYS SDN. BHD. (“MRRHOLIDAYS”) or (“We”, “Us”, or “Our”), a company incorporated under the laws of Malaysia. These terms set forth the legally binding terms and conditions for your use of Our Services as contained in https://mrrholidays.my (“Website”) (collectively with the site, referred to as “Services”).

1. DRIVER'S AGE AND LICENCE REQUIREMENTS

The Renter and additional drivers must be between 21 to 65 years old for normal car category vehicles and 22 to 65 years old for luxury car category vehicles and in possession of a full and valid national or International Driving Licence. Other nationals who hold a valid driving license in English can drive in Malaysia for a maximum of 3 months (subject to country). Probationary license holders will not be accepted.

2. RENTAL PERIOD

The Renter shall rent the vehicle for the rental period stated in the booking confirmation. MRRHOLIDAYS may agree to extend this rental period at its own discretion. If the renter fails to return the vehicle at the end of the period, MRRHOLIDAYS shall either charge the rental at the contracted rate for the period of time renter has possession of the vehicle or MRRHOLIDAYS resumes possession of the vehicle, in which case the renter shall be liable for all costs and expenses incurred by MRRHOLIDAYS in resuming possession of the vehicle.

3. RATES

Rates are for a minimum of 24 hours of rental. Additional hours will be calculated upon booking at one-fifth of the daily rate per hour up to a maximum of 5 hours upon booking. Rates include unlimited mileage, maintenance, passenger liability protection, and insurance cover for third-party property damage and third-party bodily injuries. Rates are in Ringgit Malaysia. Rates are subject to change without prior notice.

4. TERM OF PAYMENT

4.1 Mode of Payment

MRRHOLIDAYS accepts credit and debit cards Visa and MasterCard upon online booking. Third-party credit cards are not accepted. The credit card presented must be in the name of the authorized renter. MRRHOLIDAYS reserves the right to refuse its car rental services if this term is not met. Cash transactions are not accepted.

4.2 Booking Deposit

The booking deposit is not a separate charge — it is part of the total rental price, paid online at the time of booking to confirm the reservation, with the remaining balance payable in person at vehicle pick-up. As it forms part of the price of the service, the booking deposit is non-refundable once the booking is confirmed, except as set out in the cancellation policy (Clause 5) below. The booking deposit is entirely separate from the security deposit described in Clause 8, which is a refundable amount collected separately at pick-up.

5. CANCELLATIONS POLICY AND REFUND

• If renter cancels their reservation more than a week before the rental starts, they will get a full refund, minus the non-refundable booking deposit.
• If renter cancels within 7 to 3 days prior to their rental start, they will get a partial refund of 50% of the rental fee, minus the non-refundable booking deposit.
• If renter cancels less than 48 hours before the rental starts, they won't get any refund.

6. EXTENSION OF RENTAL AND PENALTY

• Should the renter wish to extend the rental, appoint any additional drivers, amend pick-up or return location, it is compulsory to advise MRRHOLIDAYS immediately to facilitate the extension of insurance coverage.
• Failing to notify and make payment will result in a penalty.

7. ACCIDENT DAMAGE AND RESPONSIBILITY

In the event of an accident, the renter is responsible for all repair costs, regardless of fault. This includes damages to the vehicle and any third-party property or injuries. The renter is also responsible for the non-refundable booking deposit (see Clause 4.2) if the booking is confirmed but canceled after payment.

8. SECURITY DEPOSIT

A security deposit will be collected from the Renter upon vehicle pick-up, in cash or by card, as security against any damage, loss, or other charges arising during the rental period (including but not limited to those listed under Clause 7). The security deposit amount applicable to the vehicle will be clearly stated on the vehicle's booking page and reconfirmed before payment is made, so the Renter is aware of it before arriving to collect the vehicle. The security deposit will be fully returned to the Renter once the vehicle has been inspected by MRRHOLIDAYS staff upon return and found to be free from any damage, with the vehicle returned in the same condition as when it was collected. This refund is made on the spot, immediately after the inspection, via cash, online banking transfer, or QR payment, at the Renter's choice. MRRHOLIDAYS reserves the right to deduct from the security deposit any costs for damage, loss, excessive cleaning, missing accessories, traffic or parking fines, or other charges the Renter is liable for under these Terms and Conditions. Where a deduction is made, MRRHOLIDAYS will explain the reason to the Renter, with supporting evidence (e.g. photographs) where applicable, before refunding the remaining balance (if any) on the spot. If the security deposit is insufficient to cover the full cost, the Renter remains liable for the outstanding balance.
