Inspect Your Car Before You Drive Off

The photos and video to take when you collect your car.


Before you leave the pickup location

  1. Check the exterior and interior carefully, including any existing scratches or damage.
  2. If you see any damage, tell our staff before you drive off.
  3. Take photos and a video as shown in the examples below, before the car leaves the pickup location.

Important: photos or videos taken after the car has left the pickup location cannot be used as proof of its condition at pickup.

The examples below use a Perodua Axia. Your car may be different, but the parts to photograph are the same.

Do not forget

  • The interior: seats, floor and dashboard.
  • The boot: including the spare tyre and tools, if any.
  • The windscreen and rear window: to show any chips or cracks.
  • One video: walk slowly around the whole car, and finish on the dashboard (odometer and fuel level).

If there is new damage

If there are new scratches or damage during the rental period, the repair cost will be deducted from the security deposit, depending on the extent of the damage. See the Security Deposit page and our Terms and Conditions (Clause 8).
